After thinking about it for some time now, I’ve decided to exit the gender debate permanently. Back in September I wrote that I was pretty much fed up with the whole trans blog thing. If I’d had any sense I’d have bailed then. The bottom line is that I’m done. Enough Non-Sense will no longer post essays that have anything to do with anything associated with trans.
The only association I’ve ever had with anything trans has been over the internet. Over the years I’ve run into some pretty cool people online. I’ve made a few friends, lost a few friends, and debated people I will never meet with engaging and respectful dialogue…but those people and experiences have been few and far between. For I’ve also been threatened with law suits more times than I can count and seen people go to no small bit of trouble over the years to out me, dropping a snippit of information here and there just to let me know they know something personal about me. Just recently I was threatened with being outed by one obsessive nut case who claimed to have accumulated files of personal information about me, including my resume…I was even sent a web link where I could view them. I’ve been called every conceivable name imaginable and insulted to no end by gay men, transvestites, gender queers, crossdressers, transsexuals and even eunuchs. So, though I’ve met a few nice people online and have had more than a few spirited yet enjoyable debates, for the most part the online gender debate is, and has been, a dark and dank cave filled with dirty, ugly, unreasonable, obsessive, despicable, and often even mentally ill people that I want nothing to do with on any level.

I wish you well.
All the best … will you continue to post on other topics?
I have enjoyed the boat rebuild series immensely. Thanks
I completely understand your point and can’t blame you. Thank you for so many wonderful essays in the past which I hope will still be available here. There are many people you may not know who may never comment or let you know that what you say is important, but we are out here, and hopefully we outnumber the teegee crazies who only seem to get noticed by virtue of the fact that they never cease to prattle on with their loudmouthed, mindless, pointless drivel.
All the best to you.
Thank you for all you have contributed over the years. It has been substantial. There need to be beacons of light in the darkness, and you have provided one. But I don’t blame you for leaving the field. I stepped away, and it has been good for me.
Live long and prosper!
“Just recently I was threatened with being outed by one obsessive nut case who claimed to have accumulated files of personal information about me, including my resume…I was even sent a web link where I could view them”…
Welcome to the club. Interesting, is it not, that these are the same “Rules for Radicals” TACTICS being employed by Media Matters against ANYBODY speaking out against the “equality” doctrine of the Bill Ayers/Valerie Jarrett Radical Leftists currently infesting our Government.
I don’t blame you one bit! Your blog has meant a great deal to me and I want to thank you for sharing your thoughts with us all. Well wishes!
You accomplished what you set out to do; everyone sees the non-sense now. You done good, SA-ET. Happy sailing.
You know what they say, you can lead a Tee-Gee to the truth but you can’t make them think.
Good luck and may health peace and good fortune be with you.
I think I know how you feel. I get sick of even hearing about the antics and delusions of some of the nut jobs but I do get drawn back. This blog is something of an inststution for which I thank you. I wish you well.
So long, and thanks for all the fish. We all get what we deserve, don’t we? *walks away*
I’d just like to say thank you for the essays you have written. I’m a younger guy (working my way towards becoming a man lol), and yours was one of the first blogs I found when I started looking around online for information. I’ve actually agreed with most of what you’ve said, so again, thank you.
“For I’ve also been threatened with law suits more times than I can count”
I had one nut case from on-line ACTUALLY file a lawsuit against me … had to get a lawyer to get it dismissed … But it was not a TG. it was a long term post-op.

Back in 1998 that type of outing in their professional circles actually happened … But it was 2 post-ops in an all out on-line war with each other…
The net seems to make people on all sides of just about any issue go to extremes regardless … it’s why arguing a lot is not worth it. I really think too many T*s (and i mean ALL categories) have too much emotional damage/baggage and so tend to over react and things can escalate out of control quickly.
Best wishes and bon voyage.
