Oh No! She’s baaa-aaack. Girl is gaining weight too. Must be hard being famous.
“Can you say fullback? ”
Delegitimizing a TS as woman based on build/weight is simply immature and hurtful both to TSes and women in general.
If TSism is really about being something our genetics say we are not, essentially judging based genetics (and that is what statements like that do) hurts us all.
In general our size/build shapes out perceptions of what is possible for us when we are young and so affects the course of our lives.
I said “Girl is gaining weight too”. That statement had Nothing to do with “delegitimizing” anyone. Was it catty? Sure. I’ll admit to that. No judgement intended. I was thinking she was under stress from transitioning and trying to hang on to her marriage. Not to mention trying to be a spokeswoman for all things trans.
Nice try. You weren’t even close.
Sara …
I was not replying to you. I quoted what I was replying to.
To me saying “Can you say fullback? ” is implying the person is a man with their physicality as obvious ‘evidence’.
Let’s see…
opening a Facebook page for her “fans.”
posting links to all six episodes of her ABC fiasco, in which she said she was misunderstood…on that “fan” page.
pursuing other media outlets to her story in the quest to be the next professional “trans” person.
continuing to send up XXY (Kleinfelter’s Syndrome) as an intersex condition when she’s the father of two children.
…yet, in spite of putting herself out there, no criticism is expected? Calling the mention as “delegitimizing a TS woman”…please. The only thing that is delegitimizing TSs everywhere is people like her spouting her supposedly TS journey…can you say “autogynephilia?”
Give me a friggin break…and Chloe, loose the streaks.
As far as her weight gain…having GRS will do that to ya.
“…yet, in spite of putting herself out there, no criticism is expected? Calling the mention as “delegitimizing a TS woman”…please.”
My comment was NOT about her at all or the fact that she as in individual is being criticized. It’s HOW it was done. Doing it that way delegitimizes ALL TSes with builds like that. If hurts those all TSes who already have it tough.
WHY SAY SHE LOOKS LIKE A LINEBACKER when that is not the the problem you have with her… or is it one of them? If she was totally unreadable and did teh same things would you feel differently about her?
You honestly don’t see the issue with talking about her build that way and the prejudice it perpetuates against those with builds significantly outside the female norms? Really?
just like the rest of the hive, you are insisting on harping about one word (and blowing it out of context) and instead missing the fundamental message. Next I guess you are going to tell us you actually believed that bee sting nonsense…
I am not part of any hive. And i have problems with how some people at both poles of these wars act, and I’ve had people at both poles have issues with what I say.
I have been post-op for over decade and don’t care for a lot of TG politics, but I also have issues with statement like that from post-ops who don’t have those issues.
Back when i was transitioning in the 90′s and going to support groups looks were definitely equated with ‘validity’ by more than a few. I saw it even among post-ops. Kind of like High school I guess.
Those who have unfortunate bodies do suffer a lot in a lot of ways. Dealing with being born TS is harder in a lot of ways because of BOTH internally and externally.
Statements such as the one I quoted are damaging to more than the intended target (and even there is unfair)
Must have been a queen bee .. I knew a black jewish girl once that got stung by a wasp and turned into an white anglo saxon protestant .. shit happens!
