Yesterday, I got up and moseyed around a bit…had coffee…and then logged on to check out the news.  I use MSN as my home page, and the very first thing I saw was THIS

I groaned.  Another  transgender fruitcake…out, loud, and proud…in your face.  False eyelashes, beard shadow…sequins…gloves…blond wig…a friggin fan…and an Adam’s apple “out to there”…pouty lips…pink pearl lipstick.  Enough to make me vomit.  What a way to start an otherwise nice Sunday morning.  I left MSN…time to check out a news feed or two.

I found myself reading this piece at the Catholic Exchange entitled Legalizing Deception: Why “Gender Identity” Should Not be Added to Anti-discrimination Legislation written by Dale O’Leary.  I had seen the link a few days before and decided to check it out.  Other bloggers have written about it but I just never read those posts.  Most of the time I just tune out when it comes to essays with titles that read like this.  On a whim, I decided to jump into this one.  It is worth reading.  It further exemplifies how transsexual’s identity has been high jacked by the GLB and transgender and in the process our legitimacy continues to suffer.

The author pushes all the buttons…some of the more ignorant comments from the article :

“For example, a bill introduced in the Maryland legislature reads as follows: “An owner or operator of a place of public accommodation …may not refuse, withhold from, or deny to any person any of the accommodations, advantages, facilities, or privileges of the place of public accommodation because of the person’s … gender identity.” This would mean that males dressed as females could use women’s restrooms and locker rooms.”

“Such persons deceive themselves, deceive others, and are being deceived by mental health professionals and surgeons. The public is being deceived by the media and activists into believing that so-called ‘transsexuals’ were born with biological problems that are remedied by surgery and that it is possible to change your sex.”

“A clearly male person presents himself in public as a woman. He has had surgery and hormone treatments to perfect his impersonation and he demands that we pretend this makes him a woman. He wants us to use female pronouns when speaking of him and to allow him to use the ladies’ restroom. He also wants to change his birth certificate and driver’s license. While some persons who present as the other sex are obviously not the sex they pretend to be, others are able to deceive their sexual partners without informing them of their true sexual identity.”

“Persons who present themselves in public as the other sex say they need such protections because they are afraid of violence. This fear is real. When someone is deceived — particularly in such a personal matter has the sex of an intimate partner or potential spouse — anger is an understandable reaction.”

“The circle of deception created by this “gender ideology” begins with those who want to be the other sex deceiving themselves…The idea that they were “transsexual” may have been suggested to them by a mental health professional or they may have seen reports of “sex changes” in the media. They deceived themselves into believing that this would be the answer to all their problems. While some may simply want to be the other sex, others may actually come to believe that they really are the other sex, that nature made a mistake and gave them the body of one sex and the brain of the other. Such a delusion is very difficult to treat, particularly when the person learns that there are surgeons able to fulfill their fantasy and create the appearance of the other sex.”

“Most can only present a very stereotyped image of their desired sex. They have to constantly monitor their own gestures and mannerisms. They are excited when they are able to deceive others — to pass — but admit that they are often not accepted as the other sex. They want the government to force people to go along with their deception, but even if such laws are passed they will only be able to fool some of the people some of the time.”

“After surgery many autogynephiles continue to be sexually attracted to women and insist they are lesbians. It is interesting to note that some radical feminists are offended by the stereotyped images of women these men present. Some feminist groups have restricted their gatherings to women born as women and living as women.”

“Some mental health professionals, frustrated by their inability to treat this disorder and concerned about their clients’ obvious dysphoria, are willing to go along with this deception. They give in to their clients’ demands and recommend a surgical solution to what they as therapists know is a mental health problem. They deceive their clients into believing that a “sex change” is possible.”

“The “sex change” surgeons know they can’t change a persons’ sex, they can only create a non-functional appearance of the other sex, but they also know they will be well paid for their skill and so go along with the deception.”

“Reporters use the new names and incorrect pronouns. Headlines read “The Pregnant Man” when the reality is that a woman who had her breasts removed and received male hormones to induce beard growth became pregnant by artificial insemination. Doubters are labeled “transphobic.”

“Those who go through mutilating surgery — who sacrificed so much to achieve their fantasy — have to continue the deception even though their unrealistic expectations are often not met.”

“The laws adding “gender identity” to anti-discrimination legislation would allow men and women with serious psychological disorders, some of whom are prone to narcissistic rage and revenge to use the law to persecute business owners who are attempting to protect the privacy of customers in restrooms and locker rooms.”

“If “gender identity” is added to anti-discrimination legislation, the lie of “sex change” will be taught in the schools. It won’t be long before we will have children’s books about how Johnny’s daddy is now Johnny’s mommy and everyone is living happily ever after. Teachers and other school personnel will expect to be accepted in whatever form they appear. Mr. Brown will come back after summer vacation as Miss Brown.”

“Confused children with G[S]ID who need treatment are already being pushed down the path to surgical mutilation. Schools are being told that if an elementary school boy or girl believes that he or she is the other sex everyone should go along with this fantasy. The school should allow these troubled children to change their names, dress as the other sex, and use the restrooms of the other sex.”

Those were some  of the high points.

I put my computer down and sipped on my coffee…and just sat back and shook my head.  How in the world did we ever  get here, today…from there, where transsexuality was 35 years ago?  How could transsexuality have become so misunderstood and slandered?  In 1974, at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, a MtoF Art History professor had GRS.  I doubt there was a person on campus who didn’t hear about it.  For a day or so, it was the  topic of conversation…it seemed no two people could get together and the discussion not gravitate to the “sex change” teacher.  There was no misunderstanding, no ridicule, nor lack of compassion in those discussions; it was a medical issue…period.  In the 70s and 80s that was about the extent of the sensationalism of transsexuality.  When…where…and how did transsexuality become demonized?  How could transsexuality, as a medical issue, become so reviled?  I’ll tell you how.

In the 70s, 80s, and early 90s there was no transgender movement per se.  Few people had ever heard of the term.  Transsexuality was held to a different standard than tranvestism/crossdressing; they were correctly not seen as the same thing.  There was no TG umbrella that captured every strain and combination one can imagine of the gender fuck virus.  There were no homosexual transgender activists trying to convince a public that knows better  that men can become pregnant, females can have a penis, or that genitals don’t define sex.  There were no male crossdressers lobbying to use the ladies restroom; that was simply unheard of and out of the question.  There was no movement to sway society that gender expression is the same thing as gender identity.  There were no out, loud, and proud homosexual activists, claiming to represent transsexuals, in the face of organized religion…or anyone else…every time a segment of civilization questioned the asinine dogma of the GLBT.  There was no gender spectrum, only male and female.  There were no crossdressers/transgender demanding rights and raising the attention of society; transsexuals didn’t want or need such attention.  And…there were no transgender men in dresses plastered all over the newspapers like the fruit in the above link.

Transsexuals kept low on the radar, and it served us well.  We had a bit of respect then.  Almost all of the birth certificate laws were passed in the 60’s, 70s, and 80s.  Transsexuals were seen as different than the GLB by the legislatures.  We transitioned, had GRS, and then slipped out of sight.  We were not reviled with a fervor fit for a vampire then; we have the GLBT to thank for that…the homosexual transgender activists in particular.  We were not seen as men in dresses, because we weren’t.  Transsexuality is now so associated with the GLB in general, and the transgender brand in particular, that the transsexual of today is seen as no more or less than a crossdressing queer…something the crossdressing queers are quite proud of.  The GLBT has succeeded in bringing transsexuality down to their level from the legitimacy we once had.

Young transitioners today have GLBT drilled into their psyche from the moment they can read.  They are taught to be out…proud…defiant.  The transitioning transsexual of today is programed to feel entitled, regardless of the entitlement others might feel…the transgender come first.  Transsexuals are now indoctrinated in the GLBT mantra:  what’s good for the GLB has to be good for the T…whether it is or isn’t.  “The right thing to do” is the catch phrase of the activists though they never answer the question:  “The right thing to do is right for who?”

It’s no wonder that someone like Dale O’Leary writes the kind of claptrap she does.  It’s not surprising that society sees transsexuals as confused…deviant…and deceitful…or that GRS is referred to as mutilation.

There is one, and only one, group that is worthy of having solid blame placed upon it for the mindset of the American public toward the classic transsexuals of today and that is the GLBT…and the out, loud, and proud homosexual transgender activists who use them for a baby blanket.  If transsexuals had kept their autonomy, their under the radar approach to social equity, instead of allowing themselves to be assimilated into homosexuality we would not only have achieved unilateral social acceptance, but would have kept our legitimacy in the process.

  1. Absolutly spot on !

I cannot agree more with you’re assesment.

  2. You are SO Right~
Now they are dragging those who are intersex into their marginalized ghetto of fetish driver antisocial nut cases.

    It was deliberate.

    It was planned.

They think they have political power through numbers.

They hijack entire groups of people.

  3. Q.E.D.

  4. I would like to say that your comments are exaggerated and over the top. I would like to, but unfortunately I can’t say that at all. Instead, I have to agree completely with what you say. Just today I noticed where a particularly nasty bigot from Louisville, KY (yes, you know who I mean) posted part of the GLAAD media guide that says “Referring to a sex change operation, or using terms such as pre- or post-operative, inaccurately suggests that one must have surgery in order to truly change one’s sex.”

There we have an “official” statement of what I have seen hinted at for some time. These fools are actually pushing the idea that one can change one’s sex by simply saying “My sex has changed….” That is just too much.

  5. Well Jen;

    Welcome to

    The great marginalization.

Where everybody who isn’t straight and borne in the right body is queer.

Where reconstructive surgery is politically incorrect and will get you outed if the queers ever find out.

What did we ever do to them to deserve this.

  6. Jennifer, I suppose it is worth noting that GLAAD stands for Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. The operative words are Gay and Lesbian, i.e., homosexual. The homosexual movement, including the homosexual transgender, like nothing more than distorting the gender debate with bullshit like this:

“Referring to a sex change operation, or using terms such as pre- or post-operative, inaccurately suggests that one must have surgery in order to truly change one’s sex.”

Such a position goes against the very vein of common sense and is simply more proof of the GLB’s continued effort to deligitimize classic transsexuals. I have no use for GLAAD whatsoever, nor those who do.

  7. Anyone seen that HBO show about sex changes in Iran ? I think its called “be like others”

Now here is a country where homosexuality will get you imprisoned or killed. Is it just my or do the so called transsexuals on this show srike you as gay males? The head surgeon say that all his girls are true transsexuals, but there are several moments in the show that tell me this is far from the truth. The so called transsexuals are arguing with people about why they should have to have surgery. Apparently in Iran, a trans woman has to get permission from the government to be seen in public dressed as the other gender.

It was all very strange to me, but honestly, no stranger and no more understandable than our home grown transgender’s in the west.

Maybe I am just getting old, but I just don’t get this stuff.. it’s like a sick joke that never ends.

  8. Oh yes, I know what GLAAD stands for. I just found that remark incredibly silly, even for them.

And Iran is a sad situation. No, they are not transsexuals. They are gay men being given a choice of becoming women or possibly facing execution. I have read about some who regret not choosing execution. Perhaps the religious leaders are not as clueless as they appear at first.

  9. The Spectrum Cafe, a new trans oriented blog from Dyssonance….

…for the transgender that just can’t seperate the T(ea) from the GLB(kool-aid)

(sandeen is in damage control mode)

    ROFL

  10. Come on, this Pam’s thing is a hoot! Hell, they even had to lift my ban because of the week of no moderation.

I never would have believed that Sandeen would be more hated than me by the TGs, but there you are, it’s a time of signs and miracles apparently.

And all over some cis-sy gay guy getting his panties in a bunch over being……..defined by TGs, ah the irony.
